Founder and Managing Partner
Brian is a strategic financial executive and Board advisor with over 30 years of experience across Fortune 500, Government Sponsored Entiy (GSE), and private equity-sponsored companies within the financial services, commodities, technology, agribusiness, capital equipment, energy, and consumer goods industries.
Prior to forming Lakeland Advisory Partners, Brian served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas and AgriBank, FCB, both cooperatively held GSE financial institutions, where he had responsibility for the financial, treasury, strategic planning, information technology, and legislative and government affairs functions. His experience also includes serving as the Global Chief Financial Officer for ED&F Man Capital Markets, Inc., a global financial brokerage and commodities trading firm, where he spearheaded the treasury, financial planning, and M&A functions. Previously, he served as the co-Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for CNH Capital, the captive financial services subsidiary of Case New Holland, Inc., where he directed all global capital markets, structured finance, treasury, and financial risk management activities. Brian’s other experience includes senior financial leadership positions at the Quaker Oats Company and Exxon Corporation. Brian also served as a strategic advisor to several private equity-backed financial services firms in agribusiness and fintech sectors.
Brian holds a Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in finance, accounting and international business from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in finance from Indiana University.
